CMS: My site is broken or not displaying correctly after I changed some things
Solution
Sometimes after updating your web pages or site using CMS you may find that the layout is broken or jumbled.
The most important thing is first to not panic as this is easily fixed.
Ususally when this happens it is because some of the content has been copied and pasted from within a Microsoft Word document or similar.
1. Simply re-copy the entire section again, and paste into Notepad. This will remove all the Word style formatting from the background and leave ony the text.
2. Next re-copy back into the CMS replacing everything that was there before and finally apply the required formatiing from within the CMS.
3. After checking all is correct save the page or content to the web and finally confirm the content now works correctly in several different browsers.
The simple rule to remember is to only type directly into the CMS or paste only plain text (e.g. text copied from Notepad) and then use the CMS to finish layour and formatting.
